MAKE IT YOURS

Edit your classroom

One name per line. Tabs and commas also work; quote names that contain commas. Exact duplicates are merged. This editor and JSON backups show full names, even when display masking is enabled.

Spreadsheet example & templatesSpreadsheet with Name and Group columns. Alex Morgan and Jamie Chen are in Group A; Taylor Reed and Sam Rivera are in Group B.

Required: Name. Optional: Group and Photo filename. Student numbers are assigned automatically. Do not enter answer totals. Copy cells from a spreadsheet or save it as CSV; Excel XLSX files and embedded spreadsheet images are not imported.

For photos, put a local filename such as alex.jpg in the optional Photo filename column, then choose matching image files below. No external photo URLs are loaded. Missing images use the default badge.

No photo files selected.

Create a fixed group

Fixed groups belong to this classroom. Add members with Edit list or move them using their roster group menu.

Create a classroom

Each classroom keeps its own roster, rounds, participation counts, results, and teams.

NOTICE THE NEXT OPPORTUNITY

Participation check

A view of retained activity records, separate from lifetime totals. A random selection is an invitation; a recorded response is a different event. This is not a student ranking or grade.

Responded / present counts students with that saved status, including roll call. A presence entry alone does not establish a spoken answer.

Which groups have had an invitation?

Finish the missing records

An unsaved record does not mean no response. Open it to record what actually happened.

A useful next step

Groups and inclusion follow the current roster, even for older records. Clearing history removes evidence from this review; it does not mean a student never participated. Only the latest 100 records per classroom are retained. Manual responses count as voices, not random selections.

Read the fairness field note ↗

Activity history

Up to 100 recent activity records per classroom. Exports use your current name display setting. Student response totals can outlive these records. Clearing history keeps those totals, pick counts, and the draw round.

Share your setup

This link contains tool settings only. It never includes names, classroom names, rosters, pick results, or teams. Recipients choose whether to apply the settings.

Record classroom response

For a simple roll call, choose a status and leave question counts at zero. Recording absence does not automatically exclude a student from draws.

0 questions answered in this record

Saving an edited record replaces its previous counts, so a correction is not counted twice. Entries are recorded by you; the tool does not assess answers.

Student participation summary

Answered = correct + incorrect + partially correct + answered but ungraded. Response columns count records, not questions. Excluding students from a draw does not erase their totals.

Edit student & photo

This editor shows the original name. Renaming a student here keeps their number and cumulative records. Existing history keeps the name used at the time.

Photos are resized and saved on this device. When names are masked, student photos are hidden by default; you can explicitly turn them on using Show student photos.

Your school badge

Use one school badge for all students without a visible individual photo, across every classroom. If no school badge is set, the original initials or symbol are used.

PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Stored locally and included in your workspace backup. The website brand stays Calling You.
